"This place was great! Took my 7 year old here for snow cones. While we didn’t get the fancy stuff they have to offer and just got a “plain ol’ snow cone”, one of the girls working gave us two snow balls to have a little snowball fight in the parking lot which I never thought I would say was something I’ve done in Texas in 100°+ heat! Bucket list item, checked! Great fun and delicious shaved ice!"

"I had so much fun following the steps in creating my own personalized shaved ice. The price for this huge cup was only $6. The young ladies were super sweet and very helpful with completing my order. I was so excited to know that the toppings (I like mine at the bottom) were free and unlimited. "I haven't had a snow cone in I dont know how many years, because I dont like the overly sweet artificial flavor syrup that most snow cone places use. BUT today has changed my opinion on shaved ice! This place is 5 stars. So refreshing, not overly sweet, just the right amount of flavor to ice ratio. Assortment of toppings, generous portions, great price and I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, she was so kind and helpful when it came to all my questions, because I had no idea what to order. she turned my frown upside down! we will definitely be back"

"This is one of the best places to just sit down and have a nice treat. Prices are EXTREMELY GOOD, for instance, I got a small which is about 24 ounces with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and 3 flavors with all that costing only 4 bucks. No tax, no extra for toppings, straight up 4 bucks. The shave ice is great for the price and generally great overall. My favorite thing about this place is that the owner is not afraid to make new combinations up. I asked about maybe doing a cobbler combination, and she can back with 5 different combinations along with suggesting I should try another combination that isn't even on the menu. The owner is kind hearted and really knows her craft to get people loving the place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, and 100% will be back."

"Wild West Shave Ice at 1640 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201 Today I had one of the most awesome experiences. First one the hostess/ cashier or the person who took my order had a very energetic personality. I felt very welcomed as a customer. Second I feel like low-key this is one of the most unique and cool places to visit in the City of Denton. It's a shaved ice location. Not to mention the deal that you get on the sizes and the amount. I was ordering the large and she talked me down to a medium (the price as of 2025 was $6) and I was extremely happy that I got the medium. You definitely get your money's worth. This also includes any topping Instantaneously this is my go-to spot. Thought I had another spot that actually is seasonal but now this place is open more throughout the year. They definitely will be getting my patriotism continuously as a customer. Two thumbs up five stars highly recommend the experience."
